No. Our platform is strictly designed for cost-sharing (gas, vehicle wear-and-tear). Our system caps the cost per seat based on distance, ensuring drivers are fairly compensated for their expenses without crossing into commercial operations.
Joining the community is completely free, no subscriptions required. When a passenger books a seat, they pay the driver's cost-contribution plus a simple flat $4.99 platform booking fee. Drivers keep 100% of the cost-contribution for their gas.
All payments are 100% cashless and securely handled through the app using Stripe. Passengers pay when they book their seat, and the funds are automatically released to the driver's bank account after the trip is successfully completed.
To protect our drivers from last-minute empty seats, all seat bookings are final and non-refundable. If a passenger cancels or fails to show up, the driver still receives their gas contribution. If a driver cancels the trip, passengers receive a 100% full refund.
For safety and payment protection, we use a Digital Check-In. When a passenger gets in the car, they simply open the app and send a quick Ready to ride message in the trip chat. This confirms the pickup is complete.
